Which War Do YOU Fight?

Hebrews 2 ~ The Message (MSG) ~

14-15 Since the children are made of flesh and blood, it’s logical that the Savior took on flesh and blood in order to rescue them by his death. By embracing death, taking it into himself, he destroyed the Devil’s hold on death and freed all who cower through life, scared to death of death.

The US Constitution is a piece of paper truly written by men. It and the men who governed and govern us today have never been able to guarantee the rights written in it. Sinners have overwhelmed all their good intentions to one degree or another. Some of those sinners were our governors!

The God breathed (inSpired) Bible gives at least one right to those who receive the Messiah Jesus, the Son of the Living God.

John 1:12  

KJV ~ "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name"

Amplified Bible (AMP) ~ "But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority (power, privilege, right) to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name—"

That is a right written in the sinless blood of Jesus. Essentially it is the right to be a Christlike born again believer; a child of God forever. One translation says it is "the prerogative" of the believer to become a son (child) of God.

Father sent Jesus to save us with how many marines behind Him? Our salvation was accomplished by the death (and resurrection) of ONE man! Christians need to understand how secure their faith in Christ makes them. Then they would not cower and defend their mortality (put off the day of their own death) against those who know not God. 

Here, in my humble(?) opinion, is a scripture that every christian ought to meditate on:

Revelation 12:11 ~ Amplified Bible (AMP) ~

And they have overcome (conquered) him [satan] by means of the blood of the Lamb and by the utterance of their testimony, for they did not love and cling to life even when faced with death [holding their lives cheap till they had to die for their witnessing].

Why do we fear death? Why do we cling to this “American dream” or even to the “socialist dream” ot the “muslim dream?” ??? Do we think these lives in these dying bodies on this dying planet are THAT valuable? They have value for one thing only: the service of God; the preaching of His gospel! Being qualified for heaven by our faith and His grace is the paramount goal of God! Declaring that truth and prerogative is more important than any other. When lose sight of this, our expectation of heaven, what rushes in to fill the vacuum?

Twenty years of training, fifty years of labor followed by twenty years retirement and he who dies with the least troubles does well! Essentially we are fighting for a life and lifestyle that death will strip from us, and death need not wait 70, 80 or 90 years. For death, tomorrow will do just fine! And yet so many christians are joined at the hip with the "American dream." Why settle for a short dream when an abundant and everlasting life is guaranteed you by the unbreakable Promise of the Living God?

John 16 ~ The Message (MSG) ~
31-33 Jesus answered them [on the night before He was crucified!], “Do you finally believe? In fact, you’re about to make a run for it—saving your own skins and abandoning me. But I’m not abandoned. The Father is with me. I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties [tribulations, troubles]. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world.”

Yes, and everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.

We flawed sinners who are changing [repenting] and becoming sons of God by faith ought to, NEED TO fight the real war with the sword of the Lord. If you think yourself a christian and are not aware of the unseen battle with satan, WAKE UP! READ the Bible you say you believe! I note the following authoritative words regarding that war:  

2 Corinthians 10 ~ Amplified Bible (AMP) ~

1 Now I myself, Paul, beseech you, by the gentleness and consideration of Christ [Himself; I] who [am] lowly enough [so they say] when among you face to face, but bold (fearless and outspoken) to you when [I am] absent from you!

2 I entreat you when I do come [to you] that I may not [be driven to such] boldness as I intend to show toward those few who suspect us of acting according to the flesh [on the low level of worldly motives and as if invested with only human powers].

3 For though we walk (live) in the flesh, we are not carrying on our warfare according to the flesh and using mere human weapons.

4 For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds,

5 [Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One),

6 Being in readiness to punish every [insubordinate for his] disobedience, when your own submission and obedience [as a church] are fully secured and complete.

10 In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides].

11 Put on God’s whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil.

12 For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.

13 Therefore put on God’s complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place].

Can a christian be an anti-semite? Or perhaps it is better asked, can an anti-semite be a christian?

Some people think Adolf Hitler was a christian. Some people think the Roman Catholics of the Spanish Inquisition were christians. Some christians(?) today call Israel's Jews occupiers of land belonging to "palestinians" and the oppressors of Muslims living in Gaza, the West Bank and East Jerusalem. Are they right? Are they christians?

It in the first century in Antioch that the disciples of Jesus were first called "christians." And they were christians! Christian means Christ like or little Christ, yes?

I think what happened is that we suffer from a redefinition of who and what christians are and are not. IMHO Constantine authorized and systematized the devils desire and that of many wolves by stamping "state owned" on the church. Or on what was left of it. And we suffer this in the context of human language still afflicted with the confusion God ordained for humanity by overthrowing the tower of Babel. It makes things very interesting to say the least.

In my view, the term christian, a very good name for those who follow Yeshua (Jesus), has been given a very bad name by those who have usurped it and made it a means for the supply and worship of their bellies.

Beginning even in the first centuries, anti-Christs, or anti-Messiahs began to be a problem in the church. By the time Constantine co-opted the weary worn out church in the 4th century gentiles in the church were busy removing all things Jewish from the church. They finally and formally inaugurated Sunday as the replacement of the Lord's sabbath. Reading the early church fathers from around the 4th century onward is a revelation of how the Jews were despised by those "fathers" who called themselves followers of the son of a virgin Jewess!

Paul wrote about God's plan and calls the church one new man. (Ephesians 2) Am I wrong that the word "messianic" is not actually found in the Bible? Yet David Stern translated the word church as "Messianic community" in the "Complete Jewish Bible." Nonetheless as one new man ought the church not say a christian (Those who were Jews in 1st century Antioch were called "christians" yes?) and a Messianic believer are essentially spiritually ONE? Is a gentile believer a messianic gentile and a Jewish believer a christian Jew? The wrong done was to "replace" the Jewish believer! But that lie will not stand in the end.

There is a ton of stuff coming into view as not a few preachers and teachers are grappling with the impact of May 14, 1948. Jerusalem, the cup of trembling! Zechariah 12:1-3 Is there as some say a different destiny for the Church and for Israel? (I'm thinking of Chuck Missler in particular who teaches that) I don't really know what to say. I am not jewish by blood pedigree, but the blood that saves me is that of the Son of God! That spectacular reality sort of overwhelms everything I can say or do, and TY Jesus for the overwhelming! halleluYah!

The real question is, as has been asked: If you were arrested for being a follower of Jesus would there be enough evidence to convict you (of the crime)???  A dear Pastor once put it something like this: if you are not being persecuted for your faith, check to see if your faith is alive or dead!!!

By making the appellation Christian glorious I do not mean to diminish the facts of what has been done to Jews by those calling themselves christian since the earliest days of the church. In fact over several years I have found these verses which should scare the anti-semitism out of anyone!

Zech. 1:15;

Obadiah vs. 12-14 (and the whole book)

Isaiah 10:1-27

Jeremiah 50:17

Lamentations 1:7,21

Ezekiel 35:7

and

In list Romans Chapters 9, 10 and 11 in which Paul is very plain that although there have been some changes made by God, He still loves His chosen Jewish people deeply. Romans 11:28
And He has plans to save them not just to the land but to the Kingdom!

Luke 1:31-33
31 For lo thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bear a son, and shalt call his Name Jesus.
32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the most High, and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David.
33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom shall be none end.

And God will do this for Jews AND gentiles!

Acts 15
14 Simeon hath declared, how God first did visit the Gentiles, to take of them a people unto his Name.
15 And to this agree the words of the Prophets, as it is written,
16 After this I will return, and will build again the Tabernacle of David, which is fallen down, and the ruins thereof will I build again, and I will set it up.
17 That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles upon whom my Name is called, saith the Lord which doeth all these things.
18 From the beginning of the world, God knoweth all his works.

Another question is this: Doesn't anti-semite mean to be anti the sons of Shem? The Semites are more than Jewish only. Shem was one of Noah's three sons from who Abraham came. Abraham had two sons, Ishmael and Isaac. From Isaac came Jacob AND Esau! And from Jacob (Israel) finally comes Judah. From that name Judah come the appellations Jew, Jewess, Jews and Jewish. Now are some today anti-semites or are they anti -Jewish? Certainly many who are Semites are anti-Israel, notably the Muslim Arabs.  Language and history are important! Is the distinction I raise here important?

. black is black   and white is white. God is Holy. The devil is evil. Recently I heard it said along these lines from this text: 

Jesus said to the hypocrites: Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. John 8:44

At some point satan sinned. God was God in the beginning. Satan was satan in the beginning, and from the beginning Satan was a murderer and a liar. THE ONLY THING Satan CAN DO IS SIN! Satan no longer able to do one righteous deed or speak one Holy word. 

We who name ourselves Christians need to understand that there is no grey area in life. There IS a bottomless abyss between the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of darkness. We who say we believe God in the Messiah Jesus, and yet make allowances personally for sin, our own sin and/or others, we need to get off the fence and into the Kingdom of God. I need to... and YOU need to; it is God's great desire that we be faithful in all things. 

Amos 3:3 Can two walk together except they be agreed?

Yes, there is still forgiveness when we sin. But we are called out of darkness, and we are called to holiness. God, who is Love and can be trusted, and who will forgive us, DOES ALSO command us to trust Him, to stop sinning and to do what is right. He has made this possible in Jesus, and He made it possible because He LOVES us! 

How weak so many are, how weak I have been to not believe and understand how black and white, how truly life and death are the issues of life!

Their having two swords was enough that  now “with the wicked was he [Jesus] numbered.” That is, in my humble(?) opinion the only deduction possible! 

Matthew 26:52 Then said Jesus unto him, Put up thy sword into his place: for all that take the sword, shall perish with the sword. 53 Either thinkest thou, that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he will give me more than twelve legions of Angels?

John 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, my servants would surely fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. 37 Pilate then said unto him, Art thou a King then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a King: for this cause am I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth: everyone that is of the truth, heareth my voice.

When will we understand that God has invested nearly 6000 of His LOVE into humanity and 4000 years ago He chose one man Abraham to be the father of the family through which the Messiah would come. 


John 4:22

Israel the grandson of Abraham fathered Judah, and today the world calls all Israel the Jews. REGRETTABLY, the gentiles have not understood the Jewish people as the "delivery system" of God's divine and Holy Love to THEM, to the gentiles. Many Jews believe that perhaps mostly by intuition, but regrettably do not accede to Jesus as the Messiah. As Sid points out, the message of the gospel of the Messiah Jesus was delivered also to the gentiles via Jews, the apostles 11 plus Matthias and also Paul all Jews! Did God make some divine adjustments to the Jewish people after Jesus went back to heaven? Yes He did. As it says the are now blinded in part. I'm not the expert, but it seems to me He put them in a place that they would have to walk now by faith and not by sight! But whatever the full truth about what happened, God did not make the church a spiritual "gentile only" thing. And He did not completely abandon the Jews to hell. He did fullfill the prophecy of Deuteronomy 28:

58 ¶ If thou wilt not keep and do all the words of the Law (that are written in this book) and fear this glorious and fearful Name, THE LORD THY GOD,
59 Then the Lord will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore diseases and of long durance.
60 Moreover, he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, whereof thou wast afraid, and they shall cleave unto thee.
61 And every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this Law, will the Lord heap upon thee, until thou be destroyed.
62 And ye shall be left few in number, where ye were as the stars of heaven in multitude, because thou wouldest not obey the voice of the Lord thy God.
63 And as the Lord hath rejoiced over you, to do you good, and to multiply you, so he will rejoice over you, to destroy you, and bring you to naught, and ye shall be rooted out of the land, whither thou goest to possess it.
64 And the Lord shall scatter thee among all people from the one end of the world unto the other, and there thou shalt serve other gods, which thou hast not known, nor thy fathers, even wood and stone.

Fearfully this is what did happen to the Jewish people. Still and yet they were as God promised "left few in number." And in 1948 right around 3430 years after this was written, God began to lift the curses they had been so long enduring for their own unfaithfulness. It has not been easy for them. But the scary thing for the gentiles, that is for the nations, is that while they could have helped the Jews much at any time in History, and perhaps especially after their brother Jesus saved so many of them, and even more after they themselves and the hand of God restored them to Israel, instead the sad facts show that gentile opposition and harassment, mayhem and murder have been directed at the Jews by pagan satan led gentiles since Balaam responded to Balak's bribery.

After Jesus went back to heaven the unbelieving Jews and the pagan nations persecuted Jewish and gentle believers for the sake of their naming Jesus as their Lord. Later on in the 5th century the roman emperors usurped most of the believers into state churches, and the leaders of the gentile church also began to persecute the Jews. The period from around 200 CE to 1800 CE is a long story of anti-semitism making it's way and dwelling comfortably in the pews and pulpits of the Holy Roman Empire.  It is a long convoluted and largely untaught history in the churches, for they were they ones doing these evil things! Now after 1948 the nations have violently attacked her MANY times and maliciously heaped up propaganda against her, and brought her into their government houses to ply back from her the land they gave her mere years before. The Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox and many protestant churches TODAY side with Israel's enemies. Some rich American churches have sold off stock in Jewish owned companies as if those investments were unclean.

These are the treatments Jews got and get from many gentiles who was sent to the Jew first and yet ASLO THE GENTILE ! It is important to "blame" satan the devil for some of this, for he of all sentient beings hates God's plan and people the most. Yet satan could not have harmed a hair on a Jewish head without human cooperation, or am I wrong?

And I think maybe I have gone over the head of some gentile believers who read this, even though I am far from an expert on the subject. The Bible does revealed a scandal, one with two sides: One side shows gentiles: who say they are christians (christlike) who know less about the Bible than most other things (from Hollywood to Washington D.C.) and gentiles who know a ton about the Bible yet are ignorant of Israel's Biblical, prophetic history past present and future!  On the other side Jews who are also ignorant of the Bible, and Jews who know a ton about the Old Testament but nothing about their Messiah's Biblical, prophetic history past present and future!

If you are a Gentile Christian you believe God has promised to save you from hell and give you everlasting life in His heaven yes? You count on that promise yes? If not there is nothing left to say on any subject other than salvation. But if you do trust God in Christ to one day receive you into everlasting life, do you understand that it is because when God makes a promise He keeps it? And never ever breaks it? It is the devil that is a liar. He lied to Eve saying essentially God would not let them die for eating the fruit, but when she and Adam ate they died spiritually and eventually bodily. God kept His promise, they ate and He made them die. God cannot break His promises.

The most remarkable promise God ever made to a Jew was the promise He made to the virgin Jewess Mary that she would bear a son and He would be called Jesus. He made the same promise to Joseph, Mary's fiance. As a gentile I am so glad He kept His promise! Because in the Old Testament the prophets spoke of the day the gentiles would come to Him and be saved!

Yet we take this marvel for granted, and know not the myriad marvels that are written about which adorn the story of salvation from day one to May, 8 2013!

In Genesis Ch 12 begins the story of Abraham. God made numerous promises to Abraham, and numerous to Isaac his son, and to Jacob (Israel) his grandson. He made yet other promises to other descendants of Jacob. Not a few. In fact I believe every prophetic word of the Holy Bible is a promise! So the challenge is to YOU dear reader to investigate the promises of God. He made so many to the Jews, and He will keep them all. Notwithstanding the Jews must receive Jesus their Messiah as Lord! Gentiles call them the testaments, a better word is covenants and yet the best word for our understanding is PROMISES! And Scholars say the many many promises found in the Bible compose eight substantial covenants with men.

The scholarship exists. But have you been taught the facts? Or rather have you learned the truth? I am not Mr. Know It All by any means, but I pray and expect to learn something new daily. My prayer is for ignorant and/or arrogant gentiles and Jews to investigate the Bible and the scholarship all the while asking God Himself to be their guide. God is love! INVESTIGATE! He is not your enemy, even if you have become His! The infinite love of God and His promises to you as a gentile are so infinitely full of POTENTIAL if you will believe and receive Jesus.  Or if you are a Jew the same is true! God has a 6000 year investment of love in His humankind. And the marvel, wonder and miracle of all marvels, wonders and miracles is that Jesus is the guarantor of that investment. God's investment was never in danger of loss, because His one and only uniquely begotten Son Jesus was willing and able to insure the outcome, the "payoff" WHICH IS HIS INHERITANCE which is all those He saves!

Angels have longed to look into these things! These things will never be more significant in our lives than at this moment while we live in mortal flesh! We all who believe must become continually more well aquainted and well versed in the Holy Book of God. Through it we do get to KNOW Him!

Judge Jeanine starts by referencing the Statue of Liberty and the message incribed thereon.  I think we might reevaluate the Statue of Liberty as just one more idol, a false god. It is likely to have been the devil inspiration and the french free masons who sent her to us. Certainly the statue could (should?) be seen as an affront to God for the worship it inspires. God in Christ are the Ones we are to worship in Spirit and in Truth. The Statue of Liberty has no relation to God and the church at all. If you ask me, the source of it, a French free mason and sculptor, had to be influenced by the devil who inspires the free mason occult society even to this very day! 

The references to "Liberty Enlightening the World" also suggest a connection with the Illuminati. I once thought the free masons just a cult, a weird playboy club, even if George Washington and Bill Clinton were both masons. But things are becoming know about masons and the powers above them that are a bit chilling. Truly the prince and power of the air does lead about the children of disobedience. Satan offered Jesus all the kingdoms of the world if Jesus would bow and worship him. Jesus refused him; other men have not!  Though God does superintend all that the devil does, it is true that the devil has some legal authority over those who do not follow God in Christ. And we know that the hierarchy of the Dark Kingdom attends the high places of the world, the seats of human governments being very much high places. Where ever power is found, satan will be found exercising it or coveting it.

Facts to celebrate every day:

1) Jesus rose from the dead.
2) Jesus rose from the dead!
3) did I mention Jesus rose from the dead!
4) Jesus and Abba sent the Holy Spirit! (celebrate x3 also!)

WRAP YOUR HEAD AND YOUR HEART AROUND THAT AND SHOUT!

5) Jesus told us: "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also." In this saying (John 14:1-3) THERE ARE two commands, three promises, and three facts and one purpose. 

Command 1) "Let not your heart be troubled."
Fact 1) "Ye believe in God."
Command 2) "Believe also in me"
Facts 2) "In my house there are many mansions."
Promise 1) "I go to prepare a place for you!"
Promise 2) "I will come again!"
Promise 3) "I will receive you unto myself!"
Purpose 1) "So that where I am you may be also!" 

WRAP YOUR HEAD AND YOUR HEART AROUND THAT AND SHOUT...
AND TELL SOMEBODY! 

I left out one thing: Jesus said to them, AND JESUS CANNOT LIE, 

"if it were not so, I would have told you!"

The commands, facts, promises and purposes and cause to celebrate forever. But today in this life below God's Highest Heaven we need (yes? no?) to meditate on this:

"if it were not so, I would have told you!" 

Jesus, Abba and Holy Spirit CANNOT lie!
