Eurostan/Belgistan

On Eurostan

The 700 Club has done a piece on Belgistan:

http://www.cbn.com/media/player/index.aspx?s=/mp4/DHU227v2_WS

What we may not appreciate is that Islam is a judgment against christian, Jewish and secular hypocrisy. Women in bikinis may seem an innocent expression of freedom, but is it really freedom? Is it an expression of freedom to insult a people, even Muslims by posing in a bikini and burka? Or is it simply confrontational? And childish?

In 1 Corinthians 11 Paul writes about CHRISTIAN women covering their heads. Is this a cultural matter only or is there something spiritual involved? Oh how unsubmissive and irreverent to God in Christ western churches have become.

Do we want to defeat Islam and preserve out right to wear bikinis? Is that what life is about? Or do we want to exercise our right to become sons and daughters of God?

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

I frankly expect we will see Islam gain more and more strength in Belgium and the west, including the USA, unless and until we begin to take God seriously. The picture of the bikini clad woman in a burka, would you like to see a nun so dressed? You would call that an offense to Catholics. Would you like to see your neighbor clothed that way? It is tantamount to pornography.

I don't expect God turn back our enemies until we deal whole heartedly with our sexual immodesty. If you need an example of authentic Christian modesty, look to the Amish and Mennonite churches. They have it right!

working or not working?

In the early 90's my Pastor let me give the message at the luncheon for the poor. I chose John 6. This may seem too simple or to basic for much consideration, but the crisis, the human crisis is belief or unbelief in Jesus!  I have pasted the chapter below, and included the simple thoughts I think are make sense in black type and [brackets].  Dave Severy

My WORKING title:
"Are you working?" or "... works for ME!" (perhaps to light a title...?)

Matthew 4:4
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Isaiah 55
10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
John 6

After these things Jesus went over the sea of Galilee, which is the sea of Tiberias.
And a great multitude followed him, because they saw his miracles which he did on them that were diseased.
And Jesus went up into a mountain, and there he sat with his disciples.
And the passover, a feast of the Jews, was nigh.
When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?
And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.
Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little.
One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, saith unto him,
There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?
10 And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand.
11 And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.
12 When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost.
13 Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten.
14 Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world.
[who are those men ? The disciples? They seem to have believed!]
15 When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone.
16 And when even was now come, his disciples went down unto the sea,
17 And entered into a ship, and went over the sea toward Capernaum. And it was now dark, and Jesus was not come to them.
18 And the sea arose by reason of a great wind that blew.
19 So when they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they see Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the ship: and they were afraid.
20 But he saith unto them, It is I; be not afraid.
21 Then they willingly received him into the ship: and immediately the ship was at the land whither they went.
22 The day following, when the people which stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was none other boat there, save that one whereinto his disciples were entered, and that Jesus went not with his disciples into the boat, but that his disciples were gone away alone;
23 (Howbeit there came other boats from Tiberias nigh unto the place where they did eat bread, after that the Lord had given thanks:)
24 When the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus.
25 And when they had found him on the other side of the sea, they said unto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hither?
26 Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.
[ the flesh seeking a "feed up," a free meal ticket ]
27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.
28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
[ Labour = work  verse 27 - 29 "Labour", "work" , "the works" and "the work" are all from  two greek words: 1)  g2038 ἐργάζομαι ergazomai  and 2)  g2041 ἔργον ergon ~ see the following links:

29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
[so believeing is the work! When we are unbelieving we are not working! Too simple for most of us to see it? Took me 35 years!]
30 They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?
[They still throw the thing back on Jesus: "prove to us that you work!" ] + ["that we may see and believe thee?" He had multiplied 10 pounds(?) of food into luncheon (at least 2,500 pounds?) for 5,000 men.!!!!!!]
31 Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.
[uh oh... hear it comes! The PARADIGM SHIFT !!!]
32 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.
33 For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heavenand giveth life unto the world.
34 Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.
[Shades of the samaritan woman! And she BELIEVED!] [ and now Jesus turns on the high beams!!! But the truly blind have darkness only.]
35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
36 But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not.
37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
41 The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven.
42 And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven?
43 Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves.
44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
[Father, please draw all our loved ones and families! Amen, AMEN!]
45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.
46 Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.
47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
48 I am that bread of life.
49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.
50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.
51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
52 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?
53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.

[He that believes shall be saved! Shall never die!  Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.] The difference is believing, not being baptized! ...another discussion!]

59 These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.
60 Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard sayingwho can hear it?
61 When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?
62 What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?
63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.
65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
[Oh TY! TY! TY! Jesus, TY! Abba for giving me my sight!]
66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
[The saddest verse in the Bible?]
67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?
68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.
69 And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.
70 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?
71 He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.

what's love got to do with it ???

The condition of many men's and women's souls today is sadly reflected by a song popular some years ago titled "What's love got to do with it?"
"Oh what's love got to do, got to do with it
What's love but a second hand emotion
What's love got to do, got to do with it
Who needs a heart
When a heart can be broken."
This is perhaps the most devalued, deformed and perverse notion of love that I have seen. God's love has everything to do with life, with HUMAN life. Love is the motivation and intent of God before all other motives and intentions. Love is the reality of God and we read:

 John 4:7-8
7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

That is a 100% right, righteous and correct assessment of true LOVE.

What if God wanted to have a child (to love) born to a particular couple on Sept 27th 2013 and that night the man put on a condom? No child was conceived. Is this a question that merits consideration?
What if on July 14th, 2012 a man and women not his wife had sex and a child was conceived? Could God have prevented it? Why didn’t He? Does God want (to love) the child now in the woman's womb and have it to be born? Does the child who is powerless have any value at all? To whom? Why?
If there is no God, all things are permissible. Without a God who establishes an absolute standard of right and wrong, men are found to be entirely unable to establish any lasting and/or absolute standards by which to govern their affairs. Without God who (saves or) condemns and makes hell for the condemned (though He is not willing any go there) men will not be deterred from evil in any way.
As time goes on men will become more and more lawless, more and more criminal UNLESS they seek repentance (to change and be changed) by the grace of Christ.
Exodus 20:2-17 (NKJV)
1
“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me.
2
“You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My Commandments.
3
“You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.
4
“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
5
“Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
6
“You shall not murder.
7
“You shall not commit adultery.
8
“You shall not steal.
9
“You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
10
“You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's.”

No one voted to "pass" the laws of God. They are given by God with authority; they do not need man's vote (approval). The laws and ways of God are summed up by Jesus as "hanging on" His great commandments.

Matthew 22:38-40
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

For this teaching, this truth Paul could write:

Romans 13:10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

God is Love. If we will obey God we will love Him and love our neighbor as ourselves. We may even imitate His Son who said the there is no greater love then to lay down one's life for his/her friends!
Instead of learning how to prevent conception, mankind needs to learn how to "manage" conception. The idea of planning for parenthood is very different that planning against conception and aborting the "failures" of those plans.
If we love God, our neighbor and our self we will prepare for parenthood by marrying and staying faithful to the spouse with whom we produce offspring.
Without God we will do any number of other things with each others bodies and have results from bad to worse. Abortion seems the worst of the worst. It is the diametric antithesis of laying down ones life for a friend.
The earth is not overpopulated. It is overcrowded in many cities. It may be underfed in many places and not well served by it's local leaders, but if not for wars the whole world could be well fed and clothed, and more. It is war: the strife among men and nations that prevents many from receiving the good that is being offered by the church and secular NGO's.

God has told us that He is an important person! He is not bragging, it is just TRUE. When God shows up, men often fall on their faces. yet Jesus came and said to us:

Matthew 11
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

For reasons of His own God has revealed Himself and given us a partial record of this in the Bible. We are now in possession of more information about God than many past generations. We have the entire Bible in our own languages in most places.

Hebrews 1
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:
4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

Hebrews 2
1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.
2 For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;
3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
4 God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?

Oh God, Father, I pray that You chase down many who are warring in their hearts and against You and against their neighbors and arrest them, arrest their hearts with Your presence, persuade their souls of Your Love for them and all mankind. Show them that to refuse to love You and love their neighbor is to disobey every facet of Your law and way. In Jesus Name for His Name sake, Amen!

Obama's "Health Care" Tax

Without doubt in my mind I say the new “health care” tax it is extortion, it is commerce coerced. When was the last time some merchant said, "buy from me or pay me for NOT buying from me."

Not surprisingly this is much like the Islamic tax on infidels commonly known as the dhimmi tax. Do you know what a dhimmi is in the eyes of muslim clerics and faithful? Do you know of the tax levied on non-muslims in the "caliphate?" Do you know what the "caliphate" is?

You better get an education while you can still have time to think over the response you may have to make to Sharia law. Do you know what Sharia is? How about Jihad? Or "Cultural" Jihad?
